@Deleted User is curious about imposition and how far it can be taken.
@Breloomancer if it's not a bother, maybe you can share some of your experiences?
sure. i can get into more specific stuff if you like, but in general, there really aren't a lot of things that you can't do with your experience of your senses once you're good enough. i haven't been able to keep things stable enough to be able to, for example, play a game of imposed chess without any of the pieces disappearing or ending up in the wrong place, but asmask claims to be able to do it, and i'm sure that if i put in more practice i would eventually be able to pull it off. i have difficulty imposing the sensations of exhaustion or hunger, though i never really tried to learn that in the first place. i haven't really found any hard limits on imposition. i could replace my entire sensory experience with a fully imposed one, or even one where i interacted with my senses in different ways, if i desired. although i'm not perfect at imposition all sensations that wouldn't normally be possible with the current sensory organs i possess

I don’t know ,but we’ve been using the parroting method for 7 months now and i had some issues with it because I couldn’t tell the difference between my answer and his, they told me to use this method a little less by the time to give him a chance to speak, and it’s actually working , now when he says anything i can feel that it is actually him and some times i can hear a different voice for like just a second, but I feel like it’s a big progress for us.
i'm not sure i understand your terms. i am aware that a younger tulpa can grow tired and stop talking, though. (actually, any tulpa, younger ones are more susceptible though afaik)(edited)

its been a few months and responses are still very simple or a repeated sticky thought and they have to be prompted... sigh
hello. I've gotten kind of lazy with my tulpamancing a month ago and I want to start again. does anyone want to buddy up? so we can encourage each other, talk about our tulpas, give each other tips and such. would really appreciate it. just dm me
As well as because a lot of the time, a tulpa that's existed for a while never reaches a point where they can't be brought back by forcing again
I feel conflicted about this. Could we un-dissipate Spirit or Jasper? Probably. However, when they dissipated themselves, both were incredibly weak. Jasper actually used to be more active before things took a turn for the worse. We strongly suspect the desire to dissipate can weaken a headmate. If we tried to revive either of them, we would have miserable tulpas who don't know who they are and don't want to find out. They would resist forcing, hence why they chose dissipation in the first place(edited)

Let the dead rest. It was painful when both of them decided to dissipate, we didn't want them to go. To bring them back would be incredibly disrespectful because they decided they don't want to come back.
Luminesce: That has nothing to do with "Can't", though(edited)

The whole subject is just mean or worse
5:11 PM
I was just defining bounds for better understanding
5:12 PM
(Obviously I said way more than just what you quoted, including about weakness and how eventually you may just be creating a new tulpa that you and they both might think of as the original, but is probably different than)
Oh, I did forget to mention the case where a developed enough tulpa who wants to live is part of the equation. I'm honestly not sure how likely this scenario is, it's hard to want to exist if you're not wanted. That being said, if your developed enough headmate protests, dissipation won't work.
If your tulpa is really developed though, you're better off considering integration instead of dissipation. At a certain point, just dissipating a tulpa may translate to natural integration anyway. If it doesn't, you're losing out a lot

Luminesce: Most people who dissipate a tulpa just want to be done with tulpamancy altogether, and aren't part of an otherwise continuing-to-exist-healthily system like you guys(edited)

(And a side note, a lot of those people end up coming back to tulpamancy years later, which is why I thought the subject was worth discussing)
I found this, I'm not sure if it is relevant to anything though
9:13 AM
It has info about how tulpamancy had made their current disorders better, including asd, adhd/add, ocd and social anxiety.
9:13 AM
Like actual research with people
9:14 AM
It has its limitations but I feel like its one of the most reliable pieces of info out there right now but then again I haven't fully read through it, and this is one of the first pieces of info I've found yet
Luminesce: Pretty much everyone has had success actively forcing lol, yes(edited)
7:05 AM
That's literally defined as "actively focusing on the activities that develop your tulpa"
7:06 AM
Passive forcing is activities like talking at your tulpa without focusing on them, or imposing them around you while you go about your day, or other things that technically involve your tulpa but don't have much focus to them and so are easier but only supplementary to their development
7:06 AM
And so of course though, "active forcing" can mean many different things, so if you think what you're doing isn't working, you'll need to be more specific

Well I mainly just talk to my tulpa when I'm beginning to sleep, which takes an half hour to one hour. Mainly been trying to develop a voice for her, but it's been hard.
Parroting isnt all evil and shit like people try to say either

Yes or no questions are good once youve been doing it for a bit.
Don't expect an 'alien' voice, they will most likely sound like you.
Sometimes they will speak with just the concept of a word rather than a clear defined word. Which is normal and a step towards vocality

Luminesce: Talk to your tulpa and anticipate getting responses, and understand that they often will not instantly sound like a fully developed separate person but may instead feel like thoughts similar to your own(edited)
Makikikikiki
Ik it's an old conversation, but how to let the tulpa talk?
That separation happens as you develop your tulpa, and eventually their thoughts/speaking will be unmistakably different from yours or other systemmates'
The pendulum method is not about your headmate moving the body, but about you getting the feel of the response coming from something alien to you, which you can choose to assign to your tulpa
9:10 PM
You will be surprised if you try it
9:11 PM
If you have a piece of thread and a weight you can make a simple pendulum in a minute, and you will get results very quickly
9:11 PM
Reading guides or opinions of other people is much less effective than actually doing a practical exercise to get the feel
When someone is trying to be noticed, my brain can't stop thinking about them.
Then, when one fronts, I start to act, feel, talk and identify as them(edited)
